It's easy. You know how you check into a hotel? Yeah? Well, with Real Time Wine, we give you the ability to check into wine. You'll be able to rate it, review it and share it with your friends. Each wine you check into will be lovingly recorded on your profile, finally giving you a way to remember the good wines you drink and helping you avoid the bad ones!
Because everyone in our hallowed (and good looking) community is checking into, rating and reviewing wine - you can always look up wines before you buy them. Just tap SEARCH (you'll find the magnifying glass icon in the top right of the screen) and type in the wine farm or wine name.
If we don't have the wine you're drinking, just ADD IT. Tap search, type in the wine farm, check the results. Not there? You'll find the link to ADD the wine at the BOTTOM of the search results screen.
Our mission in life is to make drinking wine:

Easier? Search for wines. Check into wines. Remember wines. Check out your automagically populated profile. Use Trending Wines to find the popular wines of the week that are most likely in stock at your local liquor store/supermarket. Use the Wish List to build up a shopping list of great wines to try. Use your profile to find out what your Top 3 Varietals and Top 3 Wine Farms are. You just can't go wrong!

Earning points, making waves and influencing people...
Every time you engage with the Real Time Wine app, you earn points. These points accumulate and at certain big milestones, you're upgraded to a different status level.
The status levels are very important - it's how we decide who gets to enter competitions, get free samples and get complimentary access to festivals, events and meetups.
And of course. Points put you the Leaderboard of Wine Awesomeness, setting you apart as a social wine drinker in your country of origin.
The Paracetamol Factor. One thing. Just a quick thing. You can't earn more than 40 points in a rolling 24 hour period (who can drink that much wine anyway?). OK. We know, we know. YOU can.
But we want the Leaderboard to be meaningful. The 40 point limit stops the cheaters. And no-one likes them.
Once you've crossed what we fondly refer to as the "paracetamol" limit, you still retain full app functionality - feel free to keep rating and reviewing. All the data will still be on your profile when you wake up with a a headache the next day.
